Used on the vast majority of Infiniti models from approximately 2007 to present. This is the standard proximity fob with keyless entry and push-button start. Models include the Q50, Q60, QX50, QX55, QX60, QX80, and their predecessors (G35, G37, M35, M37, FX35, FX50, JX35, EX35, QX56).
Some earlier Infiniti models, particularly the I30, I35, and early G35, used a transponder chip key with a traditional key blade and a separate remote fob. The key starts the car and the fob handles lock/unlock functions independently.
Several Infiniti models use a high-security sidewinder key cut on the emergency blade inside the smart key fob. This cut requires specialized equipment that standard key machines cannot replicate.
Whether you drive a 2024 QX60 or a 2005 G35, we cut and program replacement keys at your location. No working key? We create one from scratch using your vehicle's data.
Infiniti Intelligent Key fobs require professional pairing with the vehicle's onboard computer. We carry the Nissan/Infiniti-compatible diagnostic tools to handle this programming for all model years.
Intelligent Key fob not responding? The battery is the most common culprit. We swap it and test the fob. If the issue is the circuit board or housing, we repair or replace the unit.
Locked out of your Infiniti? We use non-destructive entry techniques to open the vehicle without damage to the paint, door, or trim.
Older Infiniti models with a physical ignition cylinder can develop wear. We repair or replace the cylinder on-site.
Have one working Intelligent Key? Getting a second one made now costs significantly less than replacing from scratch if the original is lost.
If you have a spare and it works, the issue is with the original fob, not the car. That points to a dead battery or a damaged fob.
Infiniti Intelligent Key fobs use a CR2025 or CR2032 coin battery depending on the model year. If the dashboard is displaying a "Key ID Incorrect" or "No Key Detected" warning, a weak battery is the most likely cause.
Hold the dead fob directly against the push-button start. If the car starts, the fob battery is dead but the chip inside is still functional. A simple battery replacement solves the problem.
